Xi'an Metals & Minerals I./E. Corp from Xi'an, China, for a period of 30 years guarantee their slates to the property owner as listed below:
The slates are guaranteed by Xi'an Metals & Minerals I./E. Corp for water tightness of the roof provided their slates have been fitted according to BS5534 and BS8000, from the date supplied by the distributor for a period of 30 years.
Diamond Fuel Supplies Ltd, the sole United Kingdom importer of the Xi'an Metals & Minerals slates do regularly have the Xi'an Metals & Minerals slates tested in accordance with the British Standard BS 680 Pt 2 by Reading Scientific Services Ltd., the latest tests having been carried out in March 2001.
Should any slates fail during the 30 year guaranteed period, the Xi'an Metals & Minerals I./E. Corp, via Diamond Fuel Supplies Ltd., will replace the slate material free of charge on a one for one basis, However, the slates are not guaranteed against fading.
